Welcome To Westminster United Methodist Church

We are so happy that you found our website and we look forward to meeting you.
So that your time with us can be as relaxed as possible, here are a few things you can expect when you come to worship with us.

Campus Map (click here)

Parking
There is marked guest parking on the west side of the building.  This parking is for you!

Worship
Our doors are open to all.  You will be greeted with a warm smile and ushers are available to assist you.  Worship takes place in the sanctuary with the beautiful stained glass.  You will not be asked to stand or made to feel "on the spot" at any time.  We do have a Guest Packet and special gift for you and would love to keep in touch with you so we invite you to sign in on the registration pad.  Following worship, a volunteer at our Welcome Table in the Narthex, just outside the sanctuary doors, will give you your gift and answer any questions you might have.  Both our Contemporary and Traditional Services usually last one hour followed by fellowship in our Memorial Area.

Children
Families are encouraged to sign their children in at Room A100, where our Children's Director will guide you to the age appropriate class room and answer any questions you might have.   About 15 minutes after worship has begun, volunteers bring the children into the sanctuary to participate in the "Children's Sermon" with our Pastor.  Immediately following that time, they are dismissed to attend Sunday School.  Children are welcome to attend Worship with their parents if they prefer and Children's Folders are available.

Dress
You are welcome to dress as you are comfortable on a Sunday morning - for some that is casual and for others it is dressy.  You will see both at Westminster.

Our Beliefs

United Methodists profess the historic Christian faith in God, incarnate in Jesus Christ for our salvation and ever at work in human history in the Holy Spirit.  Living in a covenant of grace under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we participate in the first fruits of God's coming reign and pray in hope for its full realization on earth as in heaven.  For more information on the history and beliefs of the United Methodist Church please visit www.umc.org.
