Welcome to WUMC and our ministry to children and their parents.  Our Vision for Children is threefold: to lay a spiritual foundation for Children through Bible thoughts and stories; two, to provide a safe and secure environment with loving and caring teachers; and three, to attract and reach not only preschoolers but their families with the Gospel.

The mission of the WUMC Children's Ministry is to grow God's Kingdom one child at a time in a safe and loving environment where they can learn about Jesus. We offer a variety of ministries where children with different learning styles can enjoy lessons about Jesus. Children who learn by listening will be delighted by our interactive Bible stories in Sunday School. Those who are hands-on learners will take pleasure in our many activites which correlate with the Bible stories. And those who need a concrete activity will get satisfaction from the various activities planned for Sunday School and Children's Church.

Sunday School Classes

Nursery (Infants under-2 yrs)

Your children will receive loving care from our trained staff of nursery workers. You can drop them off while you attend Sunday School and Church. Don't forget the diapers and bottles!  We are a safe sanctuary church.

Children's Church

 When Rev. Webb asks the children to come forward for the children's sermon, please allow your children to come to the altar for a brief lesson, after which we will leave the sanctuary for a time of age appropriate worship including bible stories, activities and crafts. Children will be held in room A100 until you've picked them up after church.

Children and their families are invited to stay after church for a picnic and playtime on the playground (weather permitting).  This is a great opportunity to meet the other parents.

Westminster UMC parents are invited to bring their children to church for an evening out for both parents and children.  We will watch the children while parents have some time  for themselves.  (2nd Fridays of each month - not thru the summer)

Cost: $10.00 for the first child/ $5.00 for each child after

Age: 6 months - Fourth Grade

We provide the food and fun activities for the children!
