Westminster Weekday Schools is a member of Houston Area Association for the Education of Young Children and is licensed by the Texas Department of Human Resources. The Schools serve infants through pre-kindergarten. Westminster Weekday Schools is an extension of the educational ministry of Westminster United Methodist Church and is under the direction of an eleven member Advisory Board. As a non-profit organization, charges reflect the salaries of school staff, supplies, repairs, and equipment needs of the school.  

The goals of Westminster Weekday Schools are:

• To provide a healthy positive, loving, fun, learning environment for the “whole child”
• To help develope a child's courage to try and fail  
• To feel free to think and explore creatively in problem solving
• To set and complete one’s own goals
• To develop self-discipline and self-reliance
• To learn that each child is distinctively different and important to the group
• To accomplish these goals we provide the children with numerous experiences that develop the “whole child,” physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Child’s Day Out (CDO) & Day School Programs

Child’s Day Out (CDO) & Day School Programs CDO is a two-day a week program geared for the 9 month through 2-½ year old child. The child/teacher ratio is 3 to 1 for the infant class and up to 6 to 1 for the two-year-old classes. The children learn to play, share, sing, color and have fun. 

Day School Program

The Day School Program is a three to five day program geared for the young three through older four-year-old child.  The child/teacher ratio is 7 to 1 for the three-year-old classrooms and 8 to 1 for the four-year-old classes.  The classroom setting is geared for both large group and small group activities as well as teacher guided and child initiated activities.
